Excellence Machinery All moulding is carried out on State-of-the-Art, closed loop control injection moulding machinery for the ultimate in consistency. A policy of continuous investment ensures that our machinery is up-to-date and with the best control systems. All machinery is purchased from new and is maintained to the highest standard to ensure the most consistent products. The company currently has fourteen machines ranging from 40 tonnes to 270 tonnes. Higher tonnage's and multi-material machines are under consideration. A computerised production control system ensures the tracking of an order from receipt to final despatch. The system controls machine loading, stock of raw materials and finished parts , work in progress and due despatch date. Assembly The company has a dedicated assembly cell, undertaking operations such as thread and compression limiting spacer insertion, ultrasonic welding, gluing and Tampo pad printing. Assembly and post moulding operations use Poka Yoke techniques. Quality The company is strongly committed to Quality and quality control systems are accredited to ISO 9000 : 2000. Advanced Plastics is a preferred , quality assured supplier to all of our customers, without exception and have been supplier of the year to several of them. To facilitate the position as a quality component supplier, the company has a 3 axis co-ordinate measuring machine with associated SPC software. Naturally, supplying the automotive industry, techniques such as Statistical Process Control, FMEA and full batch trace ability are used on a regular basis, within an environment of continuous improvement.
